Outcomes of Hybrid Revascularization Strategies for Multi-Vessel Coronary Artery Disease in Indian Patients: A Single-Center Retrospective Study.
Abstract This single-center retrospective study investigated the early and mid-term outcomes of Hybrid Revascularization Strategies (HRS) for multi-vessel Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) in Indian patients. HRS, combining Minimally Invasive Direct Coronary Artery Bypass (MIDCAB) to the Left Anterior Descending (LAD) artery with Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) for non-LAD lesions, offers a less invasive alternative to conventional Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG).
Long-Term Patency Rates of Internal Thoracic Artery Grafts in Off-Pump Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (OPCABG) in a North Indian Cohort.
The Internal Thoracic Artery (ITA) is the conduit of choice for coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) due to its superior long-term patency. While extensive data exists from Western populations, specific outcomes in Indian cohorts, particularly with Off-Pump CABG (OPCABG), remain less extensively documented. This study aimed to evaluate the long-term patency rates of ITA grafts in patients undergoing OPCABG in a North Indian tertiary care center. A retrospective analysis was
Robotic-Assisted Hernia Repair: Initial Experience and Short-Term Outcomes in a Western Indian Surgical Unit.
This study presents the initial experience and short-term outcomes of robotic-assisted hernia repair at a surgical unit in Western India. With the increasing adoption of robotic platforms globally, understanding their efficacy and safety in diverse healthcare settings, particularly in a developing country context, is crucial. This retrospective analysis evaluated a cohort of patients undergoing various types of hernia repairs (e.g., inguinal, ventral, incisional) using a robo
Surgical Management of Complex Congenital Heart Defects in Resource-Limited Settings: A Tertiary Care Experience from Eastern India.
Abstract This study examines the surgical management of complex congenital heart defects (CHDs) at a tertiary care center in Eastern India, a region often characterized by resource limitations. Despite significant global advancements in pediatric cardiac surgery, many developing regions face unique challenges including delayed diagnosis, late presentation, limited infrastructure, financial constraints, and a scarcity of trained personnel. This retrospective analysis reviews t
